The South Carolina Gamecocks reached the Final Four of the Women’s NCAA Tournament last year but came up just short of reaching the championship game as they dropped a 66-65 decision to Stanford. The Gamecocks get another chance on Friday as they face another No. 1 seed in the Louisville Cardinals in a Final Four matchup of the 2022 Women’s NCAA Tournament at the Target Center in Minneapolis. South Carolina (33-2) advanced by rolling to an 80-50 victory against Creighton in the Elite Eight, while Louisville (29-4) topped Michigan 62-50 to reach the Final Four for the fourth time in school history.
